Overview

The Senior Accountant – Accounting Systems for Kodiak Building Partners will be primarily responsible for leading accounting system and accounting Continuous Improvement projects. This position will report to the Senior Accounting Manager. This is a great opportunity for an experienced candidate to work for a growing company.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Champion and execute accounting system projects across multiple businesses and ERP’s.
  • Serve as the accounting resource for the execution of ERP and payroll system implementation and conversions.
  • Champion and execute continuous improvement projects with the accounting departments across the Kodiak family or businesses.
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to increase financial reporting
  • Lead and execute Ad hoc projects as
  • Occasional travel required (up to 50%)

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF CANDIDATE:

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 3-7 years of accounting experience preferred
  • Prior supervisory/management experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of accounting theory/GAAP and ability to perform research as necessary
  • Relevant industry experience, building or distribution or real estate industry preferred
  • Must be detail oriented, and technically minded
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and prioritize
  • Strong research and reconciliation skills required
  • Experience with learning new financial accounting systems
  • Knowledge and exposure to multi-company organizations a plus

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required

COMPENSATION:

Annual salary $80,000 – 95,000.
